LIAFS has received a pool table donation from Ms. Mandi Hu visa vie Dicks Sporting Goods. We are very grateful for this donation.
LIAFS has completed their Youth Recreation Center, located in the Port Jefferson Residence. The Center was created through a legislative grant from Senator John Flanagan.
LIAFS is grateful to Mr. Jon Zimmerman, Comp4kids of New York Inc.,  for the generous computer donations for our youth. Computers have been installed in our youth residences for all youth to use.
LIAFS is very grateful to Sachem High School East ( Ms. Rosenbaum's 11th grade English Students) for their fundraising efforts for our agency. The youth at Sachem conducted a fundraising drive, raising money for gifts to be used for LIAFS youth birthdays. We are very appreciative of these efforts. 


LIAFS has received a letter of support from Nassau County Department of Social Services for the addition of a fifth residence to be located in Nassau County. This residence will service female youth, ages 14 -21. 
LIAFS has received a $10,000.00 legislative grant award from the Office of Senator John J. Flangan. This grant will be used to formalize and enhance a youth recreation program. LIAFS is extremely grateful to Senator Flangan for his ongoing support. 
Through the Google Adword Grant received in February, 2006, LIAFS has received numerous inquires and donations. We are very thankful to Google for this award.
LIAFS would like to extend their thanks to Sherwood Elementary School for their generous donations. Sherwood's second grade teacher, Ms. Brush and second grade students organized a campaign for LIAFS. Through this campaign hundreds of dollars in gifts were donated to LIAFS.
