In 2012, LIAFS began a new initiative which emphasizes services to siblings and their families. This effort is known as "Family First".

As of 2012, LIAFS has provided quality programming to thousands of Long Island families. Through our Social Service Division we have provided the support necessary for youth and families to become self-sufficient.

LIAFS, in partnership with TARGET Stores, provides on-going assistance to Suffolk County families. Our commitment to the community is our highest goal and we are always grateful to those who support our mission.

In conjunction with the Suffolk County Department of Labor, our Social Work Employment Program provides on-site work opportunities to those who are unemployed, giving them the opportunity to learn skills that will increase their employability.
